Our client is an established multi-strategy investment fund that provides long term capital to qualified investment professionals to build new strategies. They would like to start practices in private equity secondaries or asset-based lending. The fund is open to a variety of fund structures and strategies. They prefer to hire a senior individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who would like to start their own business. The PM will join a highly successful team providing patient capital and a track record of partnering with investment leaders. Candidates are expected to come from a larger organization with a track record of sourcing investments and managing junior talent.

Responsibilities

• Join a senior team to develop and lead private asset investing initiatives, with a focus on starting new practices such as PE secondaries or asset-based lending.
• Source investments, evaluate opportunities, and structure investments in collaboration with portfolio teams.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior talent within the investment team.
• Contribute to the development of firm strategy and potential new fund structures.
• Build relationships with investment professionals and strategic partners, while maintaining confidentiality for inquiries.

Qualifications

• Senior professional with a track record in sourcing investments and managing junior talent, ideally from a larger organization.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in starting and growing a private asset investing practice within the firm.
• Experience or interest in private equity secondaries or asset-based lending is desirable.
• Ability to work across diverse fund structures and strategies.
