Mechanical Engineer
Key Role:

Provide mechanical engineering support for the operation, maintenance, and testing of complex technology systems for DoD weapon systems. Design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate complicated and difficult mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems. Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approval. Maintain responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving the design and development of new or improved products or processes. Investigate solutions to product or process problems. Consolidate results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects. Provide critical test support and develop reports on findings and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications:
    \n
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • \n
  • Experience with engineering software tools, including Pro Engineer or CREO CAD or tool sets, such as SolidWorks, C++, MATLAB, and ANSYS
  • \n
  • Experience in performing engineering analysis on systems and components
  • \n
  • Ability to develop and execute test plans and analyze results
  • \n
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • \n
  • Bachelor's degree
  • \n

  • Experience with design using composite materials
  • \n
  • Ability to fabricate and assemble system and subsystem components, using various machines or tools
  • \n
  • Ability to work in a complex team environment

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
