Who You Are

You are a calm, steady presence on the jobsitesomeone employees trust when safety concerns arise. As a Safety Coordinator, you proactively identify potential risks, respond quickly to issues, and support injury prevention and occupational health initiatives. With a background in athletic training, you bring a practical, hands?on approach to keeping employees safe, healthy, and able to perform their work effectively. You value clear communication, build trust through consistency, and are committed to doing the job the right way.

Responsibilities

• Support site safety programs and daily field activities
• Assist with inspections, observations, and safety documentation
• Participate in training, audits, and incident reviews
• Work closely with site leadership and the Senior Safety Manager

Requirements

• Must be able to work 40+ hours per week
• Recent graduate in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related field
• Strong desire to build a career in mining or heavy industry safety
• Willingness to learn MSHA standards and sitespecific safety requirementsStrong communication, organizational, team collaboration skills
• Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs throughout the work shift.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Must have a favorable driving record for the past 5 years
• Must pass detailed Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screen checks.

Required certifications and licenses

• OSHA 10hour Construction Safety Certification(s) (preferred)

Compensation Transparency

The expected pay range starts at $75,000/year depending on experience, licensure, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, HV Health and Safety offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, continuing education support, and more. We believe in fair and transparent compensation and are happy to discuss specific details during the interview process.
