Do you have the leadership skills to guide a small, dedicated team while staying hands-on in managing records and information governance initiatives? We’re seeking an experienced Records and Information Governance Manager to lead our records team and drive operational excellence across both physical and digital records environments. This is a high-impact role that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain compliance in a fast-paced, professional setting. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations of the Firm’s Records and Information Governance team Supervise, mentor, and manage a small onsite records staff Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies, procedures, and compliance protocols Oversee the classification, indexing, storage, and retrieval of both physical and digital records Manage offsite storage vendors, file room operations, and technology/process transitions Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and retention requirements (e.g., Outside Counsel Guidelines) Conduct regular audits to ensure security, compliance, and defensible recordkeeping Guide file transfer and disposition processes related to client matters, attorney onboarding/offboarding, and litigation readiness Provide training and support to firm users on best practices in records and information governance Prepare reports and track key metrics to support risk reduction and process improvements Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in Records Management and Information Governance, ideally in a legal or professional services environment Strong working knowledge of records retention, legal/regulatory compliance, and file lifecycle management Experience managing a team or leading operational projects in a records setting Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills Familiarity with electronic records management systems (ERMS), document management platforms, and physical records tracking Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, origin, disability, or military status.
