As a Security Officer - Hospital Night Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional support to staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Your presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activities, incidents, or hazards within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Support healthcare staff, patients, and visitors by providing information and assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to address security-related matters and/or emergencies.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
